Did you know that Walt Disney had a private apartment above the firehouse in Disneyland? As a prize at an Annual Passholder Event in 1995, we won dinner in that apartment which has been preserved since Walt's passing in 1966. Popular comedian Buddy Hackett brought his own special zaniness to the character of Scuttle the seagull in the 1989 animated feature "The Little Mermaid". Here he's shown explaining to Ariel that the mysterious object she's found is called a Dinglehopper. No home should be without one, of course. Sadly, Buddy Hackett passed away on June 30, 2003 at the age of 78. He was noted for his outrageous nightclub act and for his hilarious appearances on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" from the 1960s through the 1990s. He appeared in a handful of movies, most notably in "The Music Man" where he reprised his Broadway role and "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Yes, I'm a fan of this amazing man. The piece itself is a signed 3x5 index card with a 7x8 inch print, covered in mylar and mounted in an 11x14 inch mat.
