When Disney held the First Official Disneyana Convention in Walt Disney World in September of 1992, they wanted to make sure that it was something special. And they succeeded! In addition to many special events with appearances by Disney actors, animators, and other celebrities, they held an auction conducted by Sotheby's that was filled with roughly 70 premium Disney collectibles from original production cels from "The Little Mermaid" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" to original artwork and sculptures. They also a Disneyana collectibles shop where independent dealers like us could offer our finest treasures. It was quite an adventure.
This 44 page full-color catalog of that eminently collectible merchandise was included with the convention package. It measures 8-1/2x11 inches on heavy glossy paper, the cover featuring the Dumbo ride vehicle from Disneyland that was the star of the auction, and the convention logo featuring Mickey Mouse. It's chock-full of large, beautiful color photographs of all the items sold in the auction. Even if you don't have a particular connection to the Disneyana Conventions, these collectibles are so special that you'll love having this book. From our personal collection, the catalog is in excellent condition.
