Did you know that Walt Disney had a private apartment above the firehouse in Disneyland? As a prize at an Annual Passholder Event in 1995, we won dinner in that apartment which has been preserved since Walt's passing in 1966. Click on the picture below to read all about that night, and see all of the pictures we took.

Jim Varney was a character actor and comedian who came into the public spotlight in the 1990s playing a fictional country bumpkin character named Ernest P. Worrell in a series of television commercials that almost always began with his shouting "Hey Vern!" into the camera. Varney rode that horse into a couple of "Ernest" feature films, as well as some other minor roles. Before all this, he'd had a steady career on television on shows like "Johnny Cash and Friends" and "Fernwood 2 Night". But Disney fans know him best as the voice of the loyal and lovable Slinky Dog in the first two Toy Story movies. Sadly, Jim passed away in 2000. We obtained this autographed index card from Joe Krause Enterprises in 1997.
