As a prize at an Annual Passholder Event in 1995, we won dinner in that apartment which has been preserved since Walt's passing in 1966. Australian Rod Taylor started with radio and stage appearances in his native country. He started landing film roles in the mid-1950's. A 1954 award for radio acting included a ticket to London that had a stopover in Los Angeles, but he stayed in the US. He found work in Hollywood in film and television and earned a contract with MGM. His first lead in a major motion picture was in the 1960 film "The Time Machine". He went on to co-star with Tippi Hedren in the 1963 Hitchcock thriller, "The Birds". Disney fans will appreciate Mr. Taylor's talents for his giving voice to Pongo in the 1961 animated feature, "101 Dalmatians". We obtained this autographed index card from H. Drew Sanchez in 1993.
