Sterling Holloway's gentle voice endeared us all to the Bear of Very Little Brain. A native of Georgia, Mr. Holloway had been a character actor in Hollywood since the 1930's, and had gone on to regular appearances on television programs when he was chosen to be the voice of Winnie the Pooh in Disney's "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" in 1968. He went on to voice Pooh for many years until he sadly passed away in 1992. Sterling had done other voices for Disney cartoons in the past, notably as the narrator in "Peter and The Wolf", "Lambert The Sheepish Lion", and "Suzie The Little Blue Coupe". This autograph on a 3x5" index card was obtained shortly before he passed at age 87, and is an excellent Pooh collectible.
