This is actually an auction house for a wide-range of collectibles from political memoribelia, through sports collectibles, and toys of all kinds. Your subscription to their catalog is an education. They manage to get a lot of really rare old Disney collectibles as well as contemporary stuff. I've yet to see one of their auctions where I wasn't salivating over two or three items. |
The Disneyana Fan Club (formerly The National Fantasy Fan Club for Disneyana Enthusiasts) is the largest organization of Disney collectors in the world with local chapters across the US. Their bi-annual conventions feature great speakers from the Disney Company and other exciting events. Their monthly newsletter is now published online for members, and is well worth the annual dues all by itself. In fact, for many members that is the reason they joined the Club. Seriously, this is an excellent source for news and infomation about Disney collectibles and other happenings in the Company. |
This is the newsletter of the World Chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club, based in the Orlando area. It is included in your chapter membership dues. Its worthwhile joining their chapter no matter where you live, just to get this newsletter. The bonus is that you will be joining one of the best local chapters in the country. The World Chapter regularly schedules special events in addition to their regular meetings. The U.S. main chapter of the International Animation Society. A fine organization to belong to whose newsletter is aimed at serious collectors and industry insiders. |
The San Francisco area has its own chapter. President Karl Cohen is a well-known author of the book "Forbidden Animation", and whose works appear in many excellect newsletters and magazines. |
An excellent magazine geared to both the enthusiast and the industry insider. |
A tabloid that is about 90% ads, but worth looking at to find collectibles and events in your area. The editorial content is pretty good, as far as it goes, with lots of listings for collectors shows. |
Another tabloid like Todays Collector. This one caters to the collectibles dealer. |
A light magazine that's mostly advertising, but has excellent articles on finding, preserving, and authenticating autographs. |
